As part of our HR Operations team in Amsterdam, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer with a focus on payroll, benefits, and HR operations.
In this role, you will contribute to accurate and compliant payroll and benefits administration, while supporting broader HR operations and driving process improvements. You will work in a fast-paced, international environment where precision, ownership, and collaboration are key.
What you’ll do
- Play a key role in the payroll execution, including validations, and reconciliations
- Administer employee benefits, including pensions and insurances
- Coordinate external vendors and providers (such as Dutch and foreign payroll)
- Take an active role in improving and optimizing benefits processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, communication, and employee experience
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the benefits offering, using insights and operational experience to support improvements over time
- Handle employee queries related to HR policies, payroll, and benefits
- Identify and support improvements in HR and payroll processes, including automation using AI and digital tools
- Maintain accurate employee records and prepare contracts and documentation
- Support HR data processing, reporting, and audits using HR systems (e.g. Workday) and Excel
- Support HR operations across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, changes)
- Work closely with the HR Operations team and provide support across activities when needed
Who you are
- Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-3 year of experience in HR Operations, with exposure to benefits administration
- Understanding of, or interest in Dutch payroll and labor regulations
- Drive to leverage AI to enhance efficiency
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Comfortable working with HR systems and Excel
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented
- Team player with a flexible mindset
- Strong communication skills in English
- Dutch language skills are strongly preferred, but not required
