Drive enterprise data lineage and metadata governance as a Business Analyst by translating complex business needs into clear requirements. In this role, you work closely with stakeholders and engineers to improve data-driven processes and governance models. As Business Analyst – Data Lineage, you contribute directly to scalable, compliant and transparent data management across Rabobank.
Translate complex business and regulatory needs into structured user stories for metadata and lineage solutions.
Analyse end-to-end data workflows to identify dependencies, risks and optimisation opportunities across platforms.
Facilitate workshops and interviews to align business and technical stakeholders on governance processes.

Collaboration with multiple data platform and engineering teams across the bank.

Translate business needs into high-quality functional requirements by analysing metadata and lineage use cases and aligning them with enterprise governance standards.
Analyse data workflows and operating models to improve efficiency, scalability and compliance of metadata and lineage processes across multiple teams.
Facilitate stakeholder alignment by organising workshops, documenting processes and supporting consistent adoption of data governance practices.

4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within data management or analytics domains.
Strong understanding of enterprise data governance concepts, metadata models and lineage‑related processes.
Experience working with modern data stack technologies (e.g., ADF, Databricks, Airflow, Kafka) from a business and process perspective.
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable business requirements.
Familiarity with agile delivery practices and backlog refinement.
Bonus: DAMA certification (e.g., CDMP Associate/Practitioner) or equivalent data management accreditation.
Strong analytical skills.
Clear communication skills.
