👩💻 Your impact

As our Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in strengthening the financial foundation of ViCentra. You will ensure accurate and compliant reporting while shaping, optimising, and elevating financial processes across the entire organisation. Your ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights combined with your ownership of key reporting cycles, will help teams operate smarter, faster, and with greater confidence.

This role is ideal for someone who loves both the numbers and the systems behind them. You will step into a finance environment with significant opportunities for improvement and have the mandate, autonomy, and support to redesign outdated processes, introduce automation, and build more scalable ways of working. You’ll partner widely across the business, helping a motivated team move from good to excellent.

🔧 What you’ll take on

In your role, you will:

• Own the financial integrity of our manufacturing entity; oversee production accounting, inventory, fixed assets, payroll, and cost of goods sold with unwavering accuracy.  

• Elevate and modernise the finance function; identify inefficiencies, redesign processes, and implement improvements that remove friction and accelerate performance.

• Lead the month-end close with confidence; deliver timely, high‑quality financial results that enable better business decisions.

• Shape future‑proof reporting; guide us from manual reporting into smarter, more automated and data‑driven financial insights.

• Manage statutory responsibilities end-to-end; prepare annual financial statements, and own reporting and VAT obligations.

• Partner across the organisation; work closely with Operations, Procurement, Sales, and other teams to ensure financial clarity and resolve complexities quickly.

• Develop and mentor talent; lead and coach your direct report to create a high-performing, continuous‑improvement mindset within the team.

• Bring systems and data together; collaborate with IT to leverage ERP capabilities (QAD experience not required) and champion financial automation across the business.

📌 What you bring

• Around 10 years of experience in accounting or controlling, with strong technical grounding in Dutch GAAP.

• Big 4 or audit firm experience that gives you a sharp eye for detail, structure, and compliance.

• Proven proficiency with ERP systems and a strong affinity for finance automation; QAD experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

• Exceptional Excel skills, you know how to turn complexity into clarity.

• (Preferred) a CPA or equivalent qualification.

• A calm, proactive, and solutions‑driven approach; you see problems as opportunities and act before others ask.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams across the organisation.
